FADERR13
Firmware

Keeping your box up to date.

Firmware updates are included and yours to keep. Minor fixes apply right inside the admin page; feature updates are delivered as a fresh image you flash onto the box's microSD. Your activation stays valid either way — it's tied to your board, not the card.

Current version — v1.1.6
How it works

Two kinds of update

Minor fixes

Applied in the admin

Small patches are delivered by Eighty6 as a single signed file. In the admin, open System → Software Update and drop the file in — it verifies, applies, and the box restarts on its own. Works fully offline; nothing leaves your network.

Feature updates

Re-flash the image

New capabilities (new on-box components) ship as a full firmware image you flash to the microSD — the same, reliable path as the initial setup. Export your profiles beforehand as a checklist: the export cannot be imported back as-is (PINs never leave the box), so profiles are re-entered on the fresh image.

Not sure which one you need? Email support@faderr13.com with your current version (shown in the app header and the admin) and we'll tell you.

Update to v1.1.6

Re-flash to the latest image

v1.1.6 is a feature release (up to 12 musician mixes per box, pan per musician, faster console scan and stability improvements). Bring any box up to it with a re-flash:

  1. 01
Download the latest image (~6 GB):
    faderr13os-v1.1.6.img →
    Optional integrity check — SHA-256: 4a1b4d87d1beaec96efb8f0ab89b8a0aee71fd6ecc3c16067926ac07474fc128
  2. 02
Flash it to your microSD with Balena Etcher or Raspberry Pi Imager (use the .img as the source; decompression is automatic).
  3. 03
First boot & re-activate. Insert the card, power up (first boot ~3 min, two automatic reboots), then open the admin and enter your activation key. It's tied to your board's serial — re-flashing the same board keeps the same key. Lost it? Email support@faderr13.com with your Pi serial and we'll resend it.

Full hardware compatibility list and detailed flashing steps are on the Faderr13OS setup page.
